Automated visual quality control for small batches of parenteral medicine

Currently, the mandatory visual inspection of parenteral medicines requires much effort, especially when batches are too small to automate the process with the known technologies. On the other hand, technological developments are moving fast. Machine vision algorithms are more reliable than ever, and cameras can capture the smallest defects. Wouldn’t it be great if we could apply these technologies to automate this strenuous task?
