Tanner Carden shares the story behind creating his “global startup” Nestegg Biotech and the challenges of bringing automated lab equipment to multiple markets at once. In this talk, Tanner will tell the history of the formation of his company, lessons learned from the journey, and the potential on the horizon that only automated lab equipment can provide. This talk will focus on entrepreneurship, bio-fabrication, automated image acquisition, and the future of distributed science.
About Tanner Carden
Tanner Carden is CEO at Nestegg Biotech. He spent childhood competing and winning regional public speaking competitions, then went on to study broadcasting in high school. He studied English at UAB between 2008 and 2010. Managed multiple restaurants between 2011 and 2012. Studied biology, biotech, and entrepreneurship between 2011 and 2015. Built and managed multiple teams for projects related to 3D printing and life sciences. Interned at Ferroux Prosthetics in 2012, competed in multiple business plan competitions and business accelerators. He is now working on Automated Cell Culture at the Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus.
